Update made it worse

I received and updated the latest update on 3-17-26. I assume it was to fix the situation of the R50 going into standby and having to completely restart to continue playing in GSPro, and missing shorter putts. The situation was worse today when I played. The screen just locks up now on occasion with no message, and still goes into standby and have to restart. If the update was for these issues it didn't work and got worse.

Make sure your computer is not trying to connect to your wifi and is only connecting to the hotspot.

Standby goes into effect when the ball is in view of the camera after 3 minutes. If it’s locking up well before this and only connected to the Garmin hotspot then there is a different problem.

You would have to reach out directly to Garmin support.

Why won't it come out of standby. It has to be closed out and reconnected.

It never has just come out of standby when in GSPro. Not sure why. I just don’t leave the ball in view of the camera if I’m going to take a break now.
