Any Presidents’ Day sales in the US for a Garmin R50?

Been thinking about getting an R50. Choosing between the Garmin R50 and Square Omni. The price gap between the two is tough to overcome. But I’d prefer the R50 if I could get it at a better price. Anyone know of any current or upcoming sales on the Garmin R50? I check around pretty often and always just find the suggested retail price of $4,999 and it’s just too much for me.

Garmin likely has a policy preventing distributors from advertising prices below the recommended retail price.

That said, there's room to negotiate. I reached out to my local Garmin distributor directly…

That said, there's room to negotiate. I reached out to my local Garmin distributor directly and secured a 12% discount, and I know of at least three others who did the same. The deals are there, just not advertised publicly.

I reached out to PlayBetter but they would only take $125 off. That was a waste of my time. 12% would definitely make a difference. I’ll have to see if there are any Garmin Distributors around my part of Pennsylvania. Thanks for the tip.
