Overnight Battery Drain (0%) after 4.8.0

I have had my Garmin R50 since July, but it appears since upgrading to 4.8.0, my R50 has twice discharged from ~75% to 0% overnight while in sleep mode and stored in its case. 

Previous to this upgrade, I would just put the device in sleep mode and the next day it had lost <2% battery overnight. Both Battery and Power Saver are enabled. I have not changed any specific settings since purchasing the device. 

I have reached out to support but I am wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue.

    Yes, this is happening to me with my Approach S50. I got the watch in July 2025 and until the recent update it consistently ran 48 hours before needing a charge, and that was with a 3rd-party face in always-on mode. After the update, it was fully discharging in less than a day.

    I tried powering off, did not help. Then I did a hard reset, taking it back to original factory settings and eliminating all 3rd party faces; using a Garmin face and not always on. For the first weekend it lasted 48 hours on one charge, now it is back to needing a charge every day, it runs less than 24 hours on a charge.

    I am ready to submit a warranty claim.
