Any one else have this problem? The ball impact always shows side spin as right. See picture below
Actual ball flight is a draw. .. data fields show correct left spin but ball impact always shows sidespin as R.

8378535 Thank you for your patience. There have been recent software update improvements to this situation. Please ensure your software in your Approach R50 is up to date. If you continue to experience…
Mine is up to date (it is a very obvious issue with 4.60 too). It surprices me you actually are asking this. There a lot of users reporting this. So does this mean Garmin didn't even took time to check…
same for me
I sent in a report a month ago . Will this get fixed?z
It does seem like the unit display has a bit of a bug as it’s getting everything right except the direction indicator being R (every time it seems for me). The ball flight seems right based on all of the club metrics. The external monitor gets the direction correct.
Just want to add something regarding backspin numbers. After I have hit a lot of balls off a Fiberbuilt mat, my club face gets some dust and smudge marks on it which affects the spin numbers. Then the ball gets some of this on it too if I use the same ball over and over. I cleaned the ball and club face and was shocked how much the backspin jumped up. What was on the ball and club face didn’t seem like much butt it was enough to take 1000 rpm off a 9 iron.
R50 uses the dimples to check the spinning. So if they are torn, dirty, not glossy, .. it can give false reading for sure.
If the club face is dirty, it can have an effect on the spin off the ball, but that has zero to do with R50 (mis)reading the spin of the ball.
So yes, both can have different reading on the device but for different reasons.
