Impact Video is too small and defaulting to Overhead view in new 4.60 firmware

I have the impact video displayed in a 1/3 middle pane on the Garmin R50 display.   With the new firmware, the video is using only a 1/10 of the pane, rather than the full pane.  Basically, it looks like it is trying to fit a full landscape image (with a ton of space in front of the ball being displayed) and fit that video in a portrait 1/3 pane.

In addition, on every start-up the video impact pane is replaced with an overhead driving range view.

  • Thank you for your feedback. We have sent an email requesting a photo along with additional information so our team can review this. Please respond to that email at your earliest convenience.

  • I've uploaded the photo and videos and responded to the email -  thanks!

  • Same issue for me. Additionally the impact video cuts off too quickly so the space in front of the ball is never used. It would be better if the video was longer so you can see more of the flight. The video is also extremely extremely dark. Furthermore since the impact video only uses a 1/10 of the pane, it would make sense to put more data on the impact video pane - the most obvious would be the Ball Impact data. A combined Impact Video and Ball Impact pane would make sense and be awesome.

  • We are currently reviewing this for possible change in future updates.  We appreciate your feedback on ways to improve our products.

  • Any update on this?

  • This has been fixed with a new software update of 4.80. This will not change the videos recorded that have already had the issue but will fix them moving forward.

In the future if you still see an issue with new videos after the software update, please create a new thread to help with tracking.
