Dismiss ball placement reminder to allow easier reviewing of data after hit

Feature request:

We should be able to dismiss the ball placement reminder after we hit a shot. This would make it easier to review the shot's data.

Presently attempting to do so without putting another ball down, the ball placement reminder constantly annoys you about how the ball isn't there or in the wrong position.

When I'm going to hit again then I'll worry about ball placement. Until then, stop reminding me about something I already know.

  • The ball placement pop up you are seeing is from motion being detected in front of the unit. This will occur if you move directly in front of the cameras or if you place a ball in front of the cameras.

To prevent the ball placement box from appearing on the screen, walk to the side of the cameras in front and tap on the screen to select one of the options showing without being directly in front of the cameras where the ball placement area is.

  • So Garmin's response to this problem, instead of implementing a potential fix in the software, is that I need to stand to the side of the R50 unit (not in front) and tilt my head to view the data?

  • The comment you made initially in the post indicated you were under the impression that the ball placement pop-up was a reminder.

I had to clarify that it only appears when the cameras detect movement directly in front of the movement, which prompts the ball placement pop-up.

This behavior is by-design if there is movement directly in front of the cameras.
