R50 not reading driver off tee

  • When im playing and tee the ball up with a black tee that the unit doesn’t read then place the ball on top it reads it. Then I go to hit and it doesn’t read the shot. If I take a slow swing it will read it but when I take a full swing it never reads it. I’m using new Bridgestone golf balls. I e used different tees and balls still the same. Is it the lighting or something else. I have an older RBZ Taylor made white head driver. Any suggestions ate appreciated
    • My initial thought would be the white driver head, do you have a black driver you could try? Or borrow one?
  • That was it I tried it this morning with a different driver. I used a small amount on the bottom of mine and it started reading it every time. Thanks

  • I was trying different tees last weekend... usual I use my R50 indoor and the space does not allow to play driver or any other wood. So I usual do not use any tee. At the range last weekend I noticed different reactions from the R50 depending on WHAT tee I am using. Tee hght was not a problem, but tee colour and style. I have a set of rubber tee cups like a cylinder that are fixed with a nylon strap and those are great for the driving range, because they are not flying around after impact. But this rubber tees are not working at all with the R50. What I found out, dark tees are harder to read for the R50, best results I had with white and classic wooden stye uncoloured tees.
