Left Handed Unusable Issues - R50

Hello,

When starting a practice range and in Home Tee Hero sessions I believe it is not registering that my account is left handed. Upon setting up the ball it is displaying the hitting direction arrow the wrong way and not locating the shot. I have confirmed that my account settings is set to left-handed and checking/resaving so when actively in the session. It will sometimes resolve itself after waiting awhile or hitting a ball but not always. It occurs also when switching between different handed users/players in playing HTH where it will stick to right handed.

This is a big issue and dealbreaker as a left handed owner/user.

I have checked that my software is up to date (4.10) and have tested closer to my wifi router to ensure that my internet connection is strong.

Thanks.

  • Update: I believe it is a networking issue. I found that disconnected from wifi it registers left handedness.

I have also been experiencing very long loading times (switching users, booting, and closing open sessions). When offline, I don’t have these or the left handed problems. Any network troubleshooting/advice would be appreciated!

  • I am not sure where you are seeing a directional arrow during Home Tee Hero or Practice Modes on your Approach R50 based on the description you mentioned above.

The only time a directional arrow will display is if you are using a 3rd party connected service through the Connect menu with GSPro, e6 Connect, e6 Apex, or Awesome golf.

When the R50 is in one of the Connect modes, the metrics will be displayed on-screen of the R50 and then below you will see two rectangular shaped icons with an arrow going left or right. If you are left handed the rectangle with the arrow to the right needs to be selected on screen...if you are right handed the rectangle to the left needs to be selected.

If you have confirmed the wrist setting is correct with the Settings > Profile > Handedness section of the R50 is showing the correct hand...as long as you are using your profile, it will be correct for the shot direction.

The only other option on the Approach R50 where the handedness comes into play, is when the Approach R50 is wired HDMI to an external display...then during sessions you can adjust the External Display > Center Line Offset settings for left or right hand.

If you still have concerns after the information I have outlined...please post photos of what specifically on-screen you are referring to in terms of the directional prompt you mentioned seeing so more context is available to reference.

    Thank you,
