Losing *some* R50 disconnected range sessions from Garmin Golf app

On the R50, all saved range sessions and scorecards appear as designed. However, when I take the R50 to the range without WiFi (most), I do not see all of the saved range sessions in the Garmin Golf app. Some sessions appear on the app as intended, some do not. The common thread appears to be the need to power the unit onto WiFi *before* the disconnected range session. That is, if I power the unit at home and connect to WiFi before I take it to the disconnected range, I will then see that session on the app after returning home and connecting again to WiFi. If I do not power and connect the unit before taking it to the range, I do not see that session in the Garmin Golf app (the session does display on the R50). I'm not sure if this is the actual problem, but it is my observed R50 Golf app behavior.

If there a separate location for reporting Garmin Golf app bugs? This is an anomaly as my R50 saved range sessions are not (always) appearing in the Garmin Golf app as designed.

Please advise.

  • Confirm your Approach R50 has been recently connected to WiFi in case the sessions missing are only stored locally on the R50 when you are looking for them in the Garmin Golf app.

You may also need to refresh the activity screen in the Garmin Golf app to refresh sessions that may not be showing to have them load from the account server. Sometimes it may take a few moments for sessions to load while the app is refreshing sessions tied to the same account.

If the R50 was used away from the WiFi connection you typically have the device connected to, the R50 should reconnect and sync with your account once back near the main network connection is accessible nearby. Powering the R50 and confirming the unit is connected to WiFi once you have the R50 back home is recommended and then it should sync and reflect in the Garmin Golf app after a few moments.
