R50+e6 Connect +iPad - R50 won’t show ready to hit

having a problem… I’ve got e6 up on my ipad, projecting to my screen. I’ve connected through the r50 WiFi hotspot, but then I’m stuck. The r50 won’t even show red, let alone green, and e6 says “no ball detected”. I’ve bound the r50 to the e6 license, but I feel like I’m missing a step here.

any help?

  • To get the R50 ready to for shots, ensure you have selected e6 Connect from the "Connect" menu mode on the R50. Then you R50 will be in hotspot mode broadcasting a hotspot signal from the launch monitor.

On your iPad, open the iOS Settings app > Select the WiFi Settings menu to view nearby WiFi connections visible to your iPad > Select the R50 hotspot connection showing in the available networks list which should now be showing in your nearby WiFi connections > Then enter the password shown on your R50 display within the e6 Connect mode to connect your iPad to the R50 Hotspot.

From there you can open the e6 Connect mobile app on your iPad > Select the R50 as the launch monitor device from within the e6 Connect app > As long as your iPad is connected to the R50 hotspot, the e6 Connect app will identify your device to allow access to the 5 free courses to play through the app.

Ensure that you are not opening the Settings menu on the R50, as the "Hotspot Settings" section with the Settings app on the R50 is simply there to reference your specific Approach R50 Hotspot information without putting the R50 into Hotspot mode. The only way to put the R50 into Hotspot mode where the connection from the R50 is being broadcasted to other nearby devices is through the Connect mode menu > Then select a 3rd party compatible software option and then from there the R50 will actually broadcast the connection as available

  • Mostly… I dug around e6 enough to find the place to configure the r50 to pair and stay paired. All good now thx.

  • Glad you were able to get everything connected between the Approach R50 and the e6 mobile app.

    Thank you for confirming!
