I hit my driver 99 club speed dead perfect drive. Camera showed perfect hit in middle of the driver. Ball goes 165 yards! We got a problem!  Payed $5000 dollars for this thing!!!!

    Join the club... Been fighting this January. I got it in November installed the new firmware that was out and compared it to my BLP and it was spot on carrying drives 240 to 250 and now can't get a drive to go past 212. My 5 wood will fly 212 and so will my 3 wood. Something is wrong with longer clubs at higher swing speeds. We need a rollback on firmware to check. I love all my Garmin products but I have been ghosted by support and sent them everything they asked for. I'm about ready to dump it and purchase a GC3.

    I have my elevation at 4000. Largely solved the distance issue on anything 8i or longer. Shorter clubs still feel short. 

    sadly, it’s a common issue that seems to have no resolution. If somebody talks about “indoor swing syndrome”, it’s code for “we don’t know”. 

    I think this is an amazing piece of tech, but carry distance accuracy bothers me.

    Yeah I had a BLP for 2 and half years prior to the R50. My Sim is in a spare room and I have a 10 foot ceilings I swing the same there as outside. Really weird and I think it's firmware related because in November when I checked it against the BLP it was perfect thus the reason I sold my BLP. Seems like with each firmware update it got worse. I will try it at 4k and see what happens. Mine without it at 4k shorter clubs seem right on. My Gap wedge is 118 to 122 and that's the same on the course. Anything 5 iron and above goes almost the same distance 200 to 218.

    I couldn’t agree more. 106 club speed on my driver and it perfectly hit middle of the club going 208 yards! They gotta do something! $5000 is a lot for this to be this bad with reading the driver!

    Totally agree! I remember when BLP had to have a firmware rollback because of this same issue and it worked. Even though I hear now the GC3 is having the same issue today. Very frustrated with this as I have always used this to dial in my yardages for the course and swing improvement. Hard to rely on it when the numbers are so random. I have lots of Garmin products and have always love every single one of them... this one not so much.
