Hole 17 at Augusta National

Hole 17 at Augusta National keeps showing up black. It still works - however the screen is black so you can't see the fairway, green, trees, etc. Hole 1-16 and 18 work fine. Anyone else experiencing this?

I have seen it although it did not do that the last time I played this weekend -- it is random for whatever reason.

This has happened to me as well on some other courses. I get black streaks across the screen, some of the hole is visible but barely. What I did was uninstall the course and redownload the course. It seemed to fix the issue.

Can those on this post confirm if an external display is being used during weekly tournament at Augusta? ...or is this occurring while using the R50 built- in display on hole 17?

This happened when I downloaded the course, I haven't tried the weekly tournament. The hole showed up black on both the R50 built-in display and the external display (from projector). I am going to try to uninstall the course and redownload to see if that solves the issue.

Re-downloading would likely help because the most recent GLM update involved changes to the ball roll on pine straw.

Thank you, I will try that. I installed the 3.8.2 software update - should I uninstall and redownload all previous downloaded courses? Or will the software update automatically apply to the previously downloaded courses?

I downloaded latest software yesterday and #17 was black on first play afterwards in HTH. I did not re-download the course, but will try that.

Try disconnecting the HDMI connection and reconnect if you are using an external display while playing the course. Or re-download the course and that should result in the concern from no longer occurring.

I have not been able to replicate when using the display built into the R50, nor replicating on hole 17 when using a projector.

If those experiencing the issue have a specific external display being used please post, or other info to find commonalities for the issue.
