Is it possible to change your “aim” in practice.

Similar to when playing a course, where you can adjust where your aim is located, I want to be able to move where I am aiming on practice so that I can use the full practice maps (and not just hit into water if I want to hit 150 yds). Unsure if this is already included and I am just missing it.

Thanks

  • In Practice mode if you are using Crooked Creek, Green Valley, or Palm Island the direction for aiming can be adjusted on the map view screen showing the graphic of the driving range.

To change target distance and direction, tap the circle icon with the flag, and you can move the target to a different location on the range map to aim for longer targets, or targets left to right and then you can switch switch the view back to first person tapping the circle icon with the golfer on it.

Distance range does not have a directional option since it is designed to track shots in one direction for distance practice.

  • Thanks Cody, on Crooked Creek, Green Valley and Palm Island I do not seem to have the map view, I only have it when viewing the external display (which does not allow me to select anything since its on the screen). The only options I have for the R50 display are data fields, ball impact, and impact video. Picture one is r50 display, picture 2 is external display.

    Thanks!

  • When you have the overhead view of the map displayed after tapping done on the second photo you posted above, double-tap the section of the range map you want to target and the target indicator will change locations vs dragging the target icon to the location on the map.

The double tap on the map is require when extending to an external display, and I have submitted an inquiry on the potential of offering the option to touch and drag the target icon vs having to double-tap to make it more intuitive.

  • I have found also that if you tap the "Mirror R50 Display" switch at the top of the settings view in your second image > It will then show the graphic to control the direction per the steps in my first response.

Then if you go back to the setting and toggle the "Mirror R50 Display" switch off, you can then move the target by sliding the icon with your finger vs having to double tap the location on the map.

I will get this submitted over for review as well, thank you for posting about the concern and please let me know if you have any questions.

  • Thanks for the response cody, I think I found my issue. When setting up the practice I had ball and club data selected. Which did not provide me the map selection on the R50 display, I could select it on the external display but could not click anything because it was on the external screen. When I restarted the practice session with just ball tracking data I had the Map option on the R50 display and could follow your instruction. Not sure if this discrepancy exists for everyone or just myself.

    Thanks!
