I have found that with my wedges the spin rate is in the 2000 to 3000 range similar to what one would expect from a driver, but definitely not a wedge. Has anyone experienced the same? And if so has anyone found a fix?

The mat you use can affect this. Low light with colored balls gives weird readings.
if the mat is hard the ball doesn’t climb up the face so you lose spin. 2000 to 3000 is super low even off a harder than…
I've not seen this, and get readings as high as 10K to 11K with my new opus wedges..
Do you use Rangeballs?

Thank you everyone for the replies. After some more research I tried a few things
1. Restarted the device
2. Swapped out for a better ball (the ball I was using was quite worn)
3. Tried hitting down on it more (I felt like I was hitting a lot of thin shots)
4. Adjusted my expectations (I thought every wedge shot should be 9k+ rpm of spin, but I think in reality those are the good ones and the bad contact ones could be less like only 5k+, can someone confirm this?)
5. Tried out a different mat on the range which was giving me consistent 11k rpm with my 50 degree
So in summary I think we're good now! Thank you for the help!
Wedge shots are the ones that vary outside on course the most. Why should it be different indoor? Poor ball contact, practise matt very hard that you catch the ball thin, old worn Balls, the list will be longer….
a perfect wedge shot is spinning exactly like it should be and the R50 will show you a result that tells you the truth.
i am able to try different Golf Balls and with the R50 I can report solid the differences in Spin.
the only thing I am missing is a comparision mode inside the practise Sessions.
Great points! And the more I’ve used the R50, I think what you’re saying is spot on.
You are only using the garmin stickers correct?
