I just tested 7-iron-A and 7-iron-B under the same conditions. Which one did I hit straighter? which has more consistent distance?
I have download the session data and come up with these.
Average-Off-Center
Remove any "-" signs from Total-Deviation-Angle. This give numbers showing how far left or right the shots were. Average those.
Off-Center-Range
Difference between furthest right deviation angle and furthest left deviation angle. In terms of data that's difference between biggest and smallest number in Total Deviation Angle.
Average-Distance-From-Average-Carry
Calculate every shot's distance, long or short does not matter, from the average carry. Average that.
Carry-Distance-Range
Difference between longest shot and shortest shot.
These seem fine to me, let me know if you see any problems.
Shouldn't Gamin make this kind of thing easer for us? Such as giving us totals like the ones I came up with, or even better it could combine them and similar into a "consistant-straightes" and "consistent-distance" type scores.
