Finish hole out before switching golfer

This is an absolute must for an update and strange there is not an option for this considering other garmins have this. Doesn't seem like a big deal until you have a foursome trying to have fun and play but you have at least one lefty and needing to switch between shots is a pain. Creates longer rounds and overall drains the fun out of playing a full 18 holes.

  • Updated June 5th, 2025:

Software version 4.10 and GLM 3.9.0 is now available to 100% of Approach R50 users.

Home Tee Hero has been updated with the "Order of Play" settings, which offers three options as outlined below:

    • Traditional: The player who is the furthest away from the hole hits first.
    • One at a time: One player finishes the entire hole before the next player begins.
    • Putt out: The hole is played in a traditional order until reaching the green. Then one player finishes putting out until the next player begins.

The "Order of Play" feature allows left and right hand users to ideally set the round for "One at a time" allowing the position of the R50 placement to only need flipped out once per hole vs every turn multiple times per hole using the "traditional" option.

This feature is also useful for those playing with someone younger hitting short distances, or with a user that is just starting to learn how to play golf allowing someone more experiencing to keep a more regular tempo finishing out the hole, while the other user can also continuously playing, especially if they are taking much more strokes up to the stroke limit.

Keep an eye out for the update showing available to install.
