Mine is the same. Have my big speaker cranked up all the way and its barely audible
Same here, have R50 connected to an LCD TV and have to set TV volume very high to hear sound effects at a barely reasonable level.

Garmin is currently in the process of reviewing feedback regarding the audio and volume sounding low when using the R50 to an external device.
I will reach out to those here in the thread for some additional information to submit a ticket through the accounts mentioning concerns with volume.
