The R50 $5,000 price point is a blunder. The less than $2,000 LM market demand is very high. The desire and purchasing power in the under $2,000 price point is where Garmin should have went. Most of the R10, MLMPro, Mevo+ and both Skytraks owners who have an established sim setup looking for their next LM will not look twice at the R50. Garmin's product marketers need to start following the growing Golf Sim world. The R50 brings high-end capabilities at a more accessible price point, for those who want the advanced data and insights of top-tier LM without spending $10,000. Okay, Just how big is that market demand? Answer small. R50 will sell early because it is the new shiny toy for those with money and then the R50 will fade. If a R30 is in the works that market demand might have already moved on.
