How to help/request with an update to a local course?

I appreciate that the design features on public courses can be limited. However, I’ve noticed that on my local courses, basic elements—such as bunkers, trees, and obvious elevation changes—are missing on a hole-by-hole basis.

Is there an option to improve these basic elements? How does Garmin build its maps initially? Does the process involve a combination of Google Maps and Google Earth to obtain elevation data?

Additionally, can I request to have a course refactored if I provide the necessary information? I am more than happy to help; I just need to understand the process. The members at our club would be highly appreciative.

Thanks in advance!

PS> This is as much for me as I'm sure others, improving maps would likely see more engagement and perhaps word-of-mouth additional purchases of your device if the home course I discuss with my fellow members is semi-accurate.

My Clubs course is Dorset Golf Club - Croydon, VIC Australia
