Confirm any other possible mobile device you have paired the R10 to has had the R10 connection removed from the bluetooth menu.
Then ensure you are adding the R10 through the Garmin Golf app > Profile > My Devices menu and not through the bluetooth IOS settings menu on the iPad. You should then find it pairing properly.
