Did Garmin Drop Support For the R10 Now That The R50 is Out?

Doesn't seem like much improvement has been made to the software.

Also, zero action in regards to club head speed training without using a ball.

Is the R10 now a paper weight and the dev team just focusing on the R50 now?

  • The R10 can do a lot more than Garmin says it can.

Like measuring club head speed without a ball (yes, the R10 is actually measuring this).

The R50 is probably a good device, but I'm close to predict it's fall.

    Why?

I can't see who this device should be for..

Pricewise it is competing with more high end products, and no need for the monitor etc in indoor set ups. Projector is better and more fun.

On the range it's easier to use cheaper devices and a mobile/tablet.

I would love a camera based device like this if the price was below 2k, stripped from the monitor gimmick etc. Maybe R20 is coming?

For me, I see no gain in replacing my R10 and GSPro with the R50 and hth, neither indoor, nor on range.

  • It was 2 years ago, lol at the date of our last firmware update

  • There is nothing to update on the R10.

Unless it measures club and ball data incorrectly, what is there to update?

If You mean how the distances, spin etc are calculated, or presented, all of this is happening in Garmin Golf app, and nothing to do with the R10 unit itself.
