Will the updated graphics of Home Tee Hero on the Approach R50 also come to the Garmin Golf App and the Approach R10 in the future?
At this time, there are no announcements regarding any changes in Home Tee Hero graphics through the Garmin Golf app with the Approach R10.
Why would you not offer this? You are throwing away monthly prescriptions. I am almost done with Garmin Products.
I agree and I'm at the same point. There have been no updates since 4.30 and I'm almost at the point of selling my R10 and have cancelled my subscription. If HTH was upgraded to R50 graphics I would keep…
Exactly!. The square is looking pretty good so far. The updated HTH would be one of the best programs out there if they would just allow there R10 users to subscribe to it. They would make more money off…
Yes but Im playing from my IOS device and dont have a gaming PC
Agreed! Garmin, we NEED this update. It would be such a simple port from a software side of things and I'd be subscribed on day 1 and I'm sure thousands more would as well.
100%. I would purchase a year subscription in a heartbeat if the R10 had access to these updated graphics on HTH. From everything I've read on the R 50 you still have to download the courses. So giving the R 10 the ability to download these courses should be pretty simple. Yes I would love to purchase the R 50 but $5000 is out of reach for most average households.
I would gladly re-subscribe right away with the new graphics. Since most people use a pc with E6 Awesome golf, or other software, it shouldn't be that difficult to create an app that would run the new graphics on a PC similar to how the others are doing it. I definitely think it would be a good business decision and a big moneymaker for garmin.
surely it's a no brainer for Garmin to uplift the graphics on r10. I cancelled my subscription because the current home tee hero is rubbish.
Why? I was thinking of purchasing my license until I saw this comment... You guys should consider updating the graphics on the r10 too...
The R50 is a computer and other apps compatible with the R10 are run off a computer and not through the Garmin Golf Application. Are you saying other companies can figure out how to run there apps on both the R10 and R50 and Garmin is not capable to do the same?
The R10 has nothing to do with hth. The R10 is a launch monitor that provides club and ball data, and that's it.
Hth in it's original version is downloaded to mobile phones, while the R50 probably uses another operating system.
That being said, the courses on the R50 is just upgraded graphics of existing courses in hth.
And since Garmin already has done this graphics update, I'm 99,9% certain that this upgraded version also easily could be made available also for Garmin Golf app.
The question is more if Garmin want to do this rather if they can.
After all this is a selling point to the R50, so not sure if they will in the near future..
I personally don't care.
I use GSPro which has way better graphics than hth in any form, and I'm actually quite happy with the accuracy of the R10.
Impact camera is a nice feature, which I for sure miss, and there are some other benefits on camera based monitors. These include less space needed indoors, and interference issues on range (other players nearby and rain).
Would I pay USD 4500 extra for that?
Nah.
For me this unit competes with Skytrax, Unikoor, proteee etc, and if Your goal is to have an indoor simulator with projector and impact screen, I would really think this through before jumping in on it.
Same unit, without the 10" monitor to half the price would definately be interesting for me at least.
But they can't kill this new release but launching something equally good to half the price, so I doubt anything like this will come soon.
