Garmin R10 reading distances about club or two short

I just moved to a house with a basement where I have set up an indoor simulator with impact screen. I have been using the Garmin r10 / GSPro with an outdoor setup for years with net in my backyard and it was reading accurate distances within a foot or two consistently. Now, every shot is reading about a club or two short (I usually hit my PW 140-150 and now it is running 115-125). Seems to be a lot out there on this problem, but can’t seem to find a solution. Any tips or tricks? Thanks in advance!

  • Garmin unfortunately does not have any support solutions for Approach R10 use with GSPro as a 3rd party platform. You can try to see if that platform has any support to offer for concerns regarding the metrics recording in the manner you are using the device.

If you are seeing the concern with the metrics recorded when using features within the Garmin Golf app...or through any of the supported 3rd party platforms when using the Approach R10...please reference the support pages linked below for the info regarding troubleshooting radar and setup recommendations for indoor use:

Typically if you are seeing concerns with any of the radar derived metrics after they were recording accurately with the Approach R10 after changing the environment the device is setup within...the issue is often due to spacing or other environmental factors that affect radar in the new space setup.

  • I'm having the same issue. I've had my set up in the basement and my VW is recording 90-100 when it's typically 125-130 at the course.  I've tried recalibrating and all but to no avail. My P goes 140 but reading 115ish.

Any know fixes?  I've tried removing and adding the device again. I've tried recalibrating also.
