Not recording video on the Golf app.

For the first time, I recorded a session yesterday. For all but the first swing, it recorded all the stats, has the little camera icon, but no vids.

Any ideas?

  • To ensure everything on the phone and in the app is sett to begin recording videos, I recommend referencing the Garmin Support page outlining how to set up, and begin using the swing capture feature with the camera on your smartphone during sessions: 

    In addition to the support article linked above, the following should also be considered: 

    • Check the available hardware storage currently available through your smartphone settings to ensure the concern is not related to the phone storage getting full preventing the video from being sufficiently saved and stored on your phone. The Garmin Golf membership allows for cloud storage of the sessions through your account vs having to keep the sessions stored on your smartphone storage. 
    • Check your phone settings to ensure permissions for the Garmin Golf app allow access to the camera, photos, and storage to allow the Garmin Golf app to properly save and store your sessions. 
    • Check and make sure that the camera icon is not showing the slash and just the camera, which indicates swing capture is turned on.
