Open main menu in the Garmin Golf app opening screen (More tab on lower right if using iPhone) (3 horizontal bars menu in upper left if using Android) > Select Settings > Make sure "Units of measure" is set to statute > Make sure "Golf Speed Units" is set to "Miles per hour".
