Hi,
I've had my R10 about 2 months now. I find the readings are fairly accurate on wedges and short irons. Once i get to 6 iron up to driver, the launch angles seem to drop dramatically and shot shapes are non-existent. My set up is a bit odd as i'm coming from an Optishot 2. So i'm hitting from a platform that is about 2" off the ground. I've build another smaller platform for the garmin to sit behind the hitting area, but there is a 7ft gap between the unit and the hitting area that drops down 2", and another about 9ft in front of the hitting area. Kind of like this:
Screen]_________----------_______--
I'm not sure if that rudimentary graphic explains it, but it makes me wonder if the concrete floor between the unit and hitting platform is causing some kind of interference? or if simply the ledge of the hitting platform is doing it. I've gone through all the alignment protocols, built a faraday cage around the projector, bought RCT balls, so i'm out of ideas. I'll try just hitting off the floor with a mat tonight, but i'm doubtful. Another issue may be the width of the room i'm in. I have to hit about 12-18" off the right wall so my back swing and follow through don't hit the opposite wall. Is the unit only being 18" off the side wall causing interference as well?
Thanks in advance for any ideas!
