I have the R10, Z82, CT10 sensors and the S70.  I REALLY want/need to be able to take practice swings and see my club head speed via the R10 launch monitor.  I am really disappointed that Garmin has not helped all of its loyal customers by providing this enhancement.  PLEASE add this critical factor very soon.  Thanks!

  • ?

Club head speed is a data that is provded by the R10.

  • We are currently reviewing reports from customer feedback regarding the option to view clubhead speed through practice swings.

Currently the only option based on the products you mentioned having is to view clubhead speed hitting an actual ball through sim sessions using the Approach R10.

I will reach out via direct message to get some additional info to submit your feedback. Thanks!

  • Ah, my bad.

The R10 is not reading chs unless You hit a ball.

Garmin-Cody: I can't understand why this is taking so long to implement.

Speed training is becoming a frequent thing to do in golf, and my cheap prgr can do this...

But it's not only for speed training. I have seen plenty of golfers doing a fast practice swing, and then do something completely different when actually hitting the ball. So very useful feedback to golfers who think they are swinging fast also when hitting a ball, or struggle to get the chs up when hitting a ball.

If Your practice swing is 100 mph, and Your chs is measured to 85 when hitting a ball, at least You would know that You're struggling to let go.

  • This feature is currently offered on the Approach G80 with the design of the handheld being one radar, and spaced a foot away from the shot location. The Approach R10 features a design entirely different from the G80, as the setup spacing, along with the current 3 radar design for tracking individual shots.

I can confirm that our team is actively looking into possible future options in offering clubhead speed without contact with a golf golf ball being offered. Garmin may or may not implement clubhead speed with R10, and any public announcements will be communicated as they become available.
