Sidespin vs. Shot shape

Hi,

im quite new with my Garmin R10 and before I'm going to use it more intensive I was going to learn a bit more about ball flight laws.

By looking into 2 shots I've seen both with an open club face, out-to-in path, and club to path open. I don't undestand why the first shot spins back to target and the second shot curves right.

I'm happy if someone could help me with this.

It may help if you video record the swing to compare the shot metrics, to video recording to see if anything sticks out regarding differences seen between two shots if you feel the swing technique used…

The first one is wrong.

It should have been indicated as spin right, and a small fade.

Or the club direction / face is slightly wrong. If You actually had an inside to out swing, more than clubface, it would spin left.

A toe hit would also cause left spin.

It may help if you video record the swing to compare the shot metrics, to video recording to see if anything sticks out regarding differences seen between two shots if you feel the swing technique used was the same, but is resulting in different metrics.

It may help to check the support page Tips for placing the Approach R10 indoors or outdoors support page to see if that helps. The Approach R10 needs to make a straight line from the direction the R10 is facing, to the shot location, to the target location.
