Why so long to roll up updates to fix minor issues.

Why does it takes so long to update to fix simple issues or other concern of the users? It's disappointing that minor issue like simple request and issue with the user interface that are very easy to fix would months and most of the time doesn't get fix at all. Wonder if you guys at Garmin even read the feedback from users.

  • Hi.

Yes, I preferred the previous layout, in so many ways..

But, like I said, I'm not a fan of swiping either.

I'm a fan of how others do this, with info on screen without doing anything.

But even E6 and Awesome Golf are not perfect. They present a lot more data yes, but I can't choose what I want, and there is no export. But still 100 times better than Garmin Golf App.

Most likely I will go for GSPro which seems to have all I'm looking for.

Choosable fields to display, export, data also when playing courses, stunning graphics etc.

Or maybe MLM2, or maybe MLM2 together with GSPro.

So when Garmin is evaluating to implement "basic functions", users are evaluating options.

  • I agree that providing more selectable data on the screen would be most beneficial.

  • It is almost like they have completely given up. Like this was a passion project they got bored with. It is frustrating because it used to be SOOO good (at least for me) until this most recent software update (6 months ago). I used to sing Garmin's praises for the R10 and software, look forward to the next update coming that made it even better, and now the updates have stopped after what seems to be a swing and a miss update with 4.3. It has not stopped because they are without feedback to know what to fix.... I can't say I am seeing all the same issues as others, but one issue that remains constant is diminishing distance readings from almost everyone who comments. I struggle to understand how the algorithm can not be updated or rewritten to what it was, if nothing else. Losing patience and confidence anything will be corrected or updated. 6 months is a long time and I sure hope I am wrong and Garmin isn't letting R10/Garmin Golf die on the vine...
