Android phone & iPad ?

I have an android phone & am thinking about buying a used iPad just to use with my R10. Is it possible to use the Garmin Golf app on the iPad (& the free E6 software) without using an iPhone? I see the Garmin Golf app can only be loaded on an android phone or an iPhone.

E6 is only windows and iPhone release and the Garmin golf app does work on both android / iPad and iPhone however it needs to pretty much be up to date with the latest software.

My set up none of my iPads work due to the age and the garmin golf app is buggy on my android tablet however I load the app on my phone then just use a wire to convert my iPhone screen to a tv/monitor
