Android App crashes all the time when using the R10

Hi,

I was pretty convinced that I would be happy with buying the R10 since it has so good reviews everywhere. However, im way disappointed with the app since it seems to be worthless for android? I see many reviews saying the same thing about the app.

I just wonder if all the happy customers are apple only?

    I have a problem also with android Samsung tablet and android phones also. The app slowing down terribly and crashed sometime :(  so it not so usable on range or anywhere Disappointed

    Same thing here - Was pretty satisfied with the Performance until late Fall 2022 - Haven't played since but on my Tryout on Sunday the Phone kept crashing - Must have been a terrible update performace wise - Garmin please fix this

    There should really be a disclaimer that the hardware is not compatible with android or samsung products. It is also pretty disappointing to see so many golf youtubers promote the product without anything negative to say (to be fair they might not know themself if they only on apple devices...).

    If I buy a new samsung device should I expect the same problems again??? I dont even know what my next phone gonna be since I have to take in to account if this device works with it or not LOL.

    Yes.. this is a big question... !  Tomorrow I wwill try it my friend top quality samsung mobile and also with Ipad. I am very excited by the results... and  I hope The garmin team also known about working with android problem.. and work on it..

    Okay, please let us know. It would be good to know which samsung models work fine, or compared to the Ipad.

    So  Today I have one hour to try test phones etc. I got ipad air4 and try to setup the app but it unfinished :((. The circle is just going round and round.. I cant connect to my account.  I have try also a doogee s96 pro with 8 ram and 128gb.  But it does not work properly also as samsung A8 tablet.  BUT. My xiaomi 9T wit just 4gb ram and 64gb space work as normally expect from an app. Sometime the first connect was problematic but after the shoots recognised and saved well. So maybe the problem on the phones side. But would be great tonknow it surely

    Hi,

    good to hear that you making progress.

    Today I gave the R10 a second chance and played around with it. For some reason when I took one of the different driving range maps it seems to work smooth. It even showed me the ball-flight close to real time.

    However, even after changing the elevation to max, my 7 iron is carrying 80 yards, instead of 160 lol...

    Then I thought it might be because I have white balls and white wall, so I tried with yellow balls as well, but no luck.

    Any ideas?

    this was the first time I used it in my basement though, didnt realize the concrete can mess with the reading. So nevermind, I will try it in my house or range next time. I'm more positive that I will get it to work.

    You are lucky  if can play in the garden. Here is very very bad weather now. No way to play outside.  Havve a nice play. :)  I hope the garmin wwill work well and accurate

    I have samsung phone and Lenovo tab and mostly no issues anymore with app crashes.

    However..

    Tried to download and play a couple of courses another user could not get to work. (See another thread).

    This resulted in app becoming unusable and 100% crash rate.

    The solution was to delete data in app settings in Android general settings (settings > apps > garmin golf > storage > data > clear).

    This works approx as deleting and reinstalling the app.

    So it appears that some courses at least breaks the app.
