R10 Use In Garage

Just started using my R10 in my garage. After a couple of sessions I noticed that my club distances (comparing use on the range vs. garage) are about 10 - 15 yards less than average. I read last night that the concrete floor could be causing interference and throwing off the radar readings. I understand that the garage floor should be covered with something to possible prevent this interference. However, how wide of the space between the R10 and my hitting mat do I need to cover; 2ft, 4ft, as much as possible?

Most likely fix is to set altitude to 4500 ft, up the temp a bit and You're good to go.

One other thing to consider is the preset temp and humidity. I was noticing some distance shortages recently (live in MN) with no reduction in speeds, and set it to summer like temps and humidity and it normalized again. Something really small but apparently makes more of an impact to distance than one would think.

10 deg fahrenheit equals approx 1,5 yrds distance change (according to tests). Biggest change for driver, less for shorter irons.

Humidity has very little effect. Minimum to maximum humidity is only approx 1 yard extra distance.

The biggest effect should be on altitude. For every 1000 ft increase in elevation the ball should go approx 2% further.

So a 200 yards drive at sealevel should equal approx 220 yds on 5000 ft.

Thanks all. I covered the garage floor last night and that did not make a difference. I then changed the altitude and that had a positive effect. I will continue to modify the settings as needed.
