Issues picking up "purest" shots

I am using the Garmin R10 in an indoor (garage) environment with impact screen, but no projector, and the Titleist ProV1 RCT balls. R10 sits 7ft behind the mat with the legs sitting approximately 1 inch above the surface of the mat.

My issue/concern is that the R10 more frequently does not pickup shots (irons/wedges) when they are struck perfectly, than any other shot.

I'll play a round of golf on the E6 Connect and over the round about 2-3 shots wont register at all, with all of them being a very clean ball strike.

Just played for about 4 hours with 1 other person, for the first hour the R10 was missing about 40% of the shots. We would find ourselves having to hit the same shot 2-3 times and it wasn't until we caught a lot of turf and it was a terrible shot that it picked it up. Many of the missed shots were very cleanly struck balls.

After that (with some moving the R10 by millimeters and restarting all devices), we didn't seem to have issues, over the next 100 or so shots, it missed maybe 2, with the misses being clean strikes again.....

any possible issues or things I should look for????
