4.4 update coming? Shot shape improvement?

Curious if any update on 4.4 coming and if shot shape is an area of focus? I still have had next to no issues or complaints with my unit with distance, readings, detection, etc... Have had my R10 since Sep of 2021 so have seen the evolution of updates and the one thing that seems to have regressed is the shot shape. Fades and draws all essentially showing as a straight ball or just a slight push or pull. Fades seem to respond closer to accurate than draws but shots with draws seem to now just show as straight balls. Not sure if others having same issue, but just curious.

  • Responding to myself for others to see the issues mentioned above were fault of my indoor set up with some interference around the R10. I had moved some stuff around in my garage for storage around time of this update. Have since cleared my space back out and put up acoustic panels and it is now operating better than ever! Distance, shape, speed readings, etc... all spot on.

  • could you elaborate a bit on the stuff you had around? My setup is also in the garage and my hitting area is 11 feet wide. From where the r10 sits all the way up to the screen is clear but I do have some things comprised of wood and metal along the one wall. One thing is my laptop and an egpu enclosure that sit on a shelf and stick out about 18 inches from the wall directly in line with where I hit the ball. Is that something that could cause interference?

  • Not sure if that would create interference or not. In my case I was rearranging my garage to build a studio within, so I had a lot of "stuff" around while I was building new storage in garage. I had a pub table with galvanized pipe leggings that was sitting over and around the R10 at the time, had patio stones off to the side-not far from, and same with some lumber. I am not sure if it distorted the doppler being close to or created some reverberation that effecting the readings. All I know is with my clear space now and these acoustic panels it is getting club head speed and ball speed every time, where before it was spotty. Distance measurements never seemed too lost but noticeably different now is the shot shape element. The ball is actually moving again both ways vs the same straight flight over and over. Could be the clear space or acoustic panels, or a combo of both but its incredibly different.

  • Thanks for the info. My shot shapes seem fine but I'm having issues with driver distance so I was wondering if maybe something nearby could be causing issues reading higher ball/club speed.

  • I will say driver has always been the most spotty club indoors for me for consistency for as long as I have had my R10. I can live with that though for the price and performance across the rest of the bag. The drive definitely most often reads low for carry and club speeds can show all over the board. Will have a swing read 90mph then the next 118, when in reality I generally swing around 110. Not sure what the fix is there but seems to be an issue with everyone I know that has an R10 hitting indoors. Outside it is great, but driver indoors does struggle. I just ordered some RCT balls to see if any improvement occurs with driver readings and short chipping. Will advise once I receive and have some time to test.

  • Club speed sometimes is wrong for me as well.

    Mostly overvaluated.

However, ball speed is normally correct, so real club speed can be calculated by normal smash factor for the club in use.

As long as ball speed is correct the carry distance will also be correct, so for me incorrect club speed readings now and then is not a big issue.
