Fibre Cement Board

Will fibre cement board on 1 walls of my indoor hitting bay effect my data? I am a straight hitting 4 handicapper and all my feedback data shows slices with an open club face? 9 irons hit 20+m right of target. The cement board is on the left hand wall..

  • I think cement board could be a source of interference; the microwaves from the device could return to the device from the wall. But, it seems the bias would be to the left. I'm assuming you have the alignment correct, but maybe the device is not level left to right. Someone showed this would affect ball flight.

  • I have used a level and a lazer. Have continously changed alignment, height and tilt to try and improve flight path. I've turned off freezers ... nothing seems to help. Currently very disappointed. My only ideas of interference is from the following.

    1. 2 meter narrow hitting bay. Wider at hitting mat

    2. Fibre cement boards

    3. Power sockets on walls

    4. Mesh net, not a impact screen.

  • It's a mystery to me. If you could hit in the opposite direction, it might be worth trying to see if the ball curves the other way. You could try covering the board with aluminum screen or damp blanket as a test. The screen will scatter the microwaves, but that should be what the fiberboard is doing already. Water absorbs microwaves. Mesh net should be okay. Power socket should not emit microwave.
