I bought the R10 about a month ago and was initially using it with an android phone. It was great but I wanted to use it on my tablet for the bigger screen but then found out it doesn't work on android tablets. I also found out that E6 is only available on IOS so I bought an iPad last week. I had to change my membership over from android to iOS and now I have it fully set up on the Ipad. I have also bought the Awesome Golf app. At home on wifi I am able to login to the Garmin Golf app, setup E6 with the range and the five feee courses and it looks great. I don't have a hitting net setup at home, instead I take the R10 to the range and hit balls there. I don't have cellular on my iPad so for internet connection I tether the ipad to my android phone. The Garmin Golf app works great as does Awesome Golf. But when I try to use E6 I get all the way through to the simulator and it all seems good but as soon as I get on the first tee the little green circle in the middle of the screen turns red with the message 'Error Check the device is connected'.
I go back and check, go through the admin settings and check it is connected to the R10 and it all looks good but as soon as I navigate to the sim I get the same error message again. Very frustrating. This also happens in the driving range mode.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Does anyone have a suggested solution? Very disappointing as the E6 feature was one of the attractions of the R10 and also a good reason to buy the iPad.
