What are your Altitude, Relative Humidity, and Temperature go to settings? How close is everyone?

So far best I have found

Altitude 4600

Humidity 48%

Temp 102 fdeg F

Still experimenting though, so far increasing altitude beyond this does not make any difference.

Will update if I find anything better, only tested with irons as I am waiting delivery of a couple of new woods. I read somewhere that settings may be specific for individual clubs.

Yea a setting for specific clubs is optimal but for playing overall there should be a overall optimal setting.

I thought I'd chime in & hopefully get others to send in their weather settings. Today where I'm at it's 50 degrees F, 39% humidity, the altitude is 853 feet. I have a finished (plasterboard) but unheated garage (have a small electric oil radiator heater for cold days), ball to net is 9 feet, & ball to R10 is 6 feet.  I was using 4600 feet altitude, humidity 65%, & temp 85 degrees F the other day & thought the distances were fine, but today every shot I hit with that setting was shorter that the other day. I raised the altitude to 8300 feet today to see the same average distance numbers. It seems like I spend more time fiddling & testing the weather settings than actually practicing.  I also don't understand how some are happy when using very different readings. Is it unique to the indoor setup (ball to net, ball to R10, etc) or current actual weather conditions ? I'm also not happy that I have to reset my custom weather settings every time I start a new session (they revert back to halfway for each of the weather settings). The distance from the ball to R10 is saved for the next session. Why can't the same be done with the custom weather settings?

I used 4500ft, 70degrees and 25% humidity last time. That was in an insulated garage, heater on at 60°. It was 10 outside, so I needed to set it manually. Hard to tell how accurate it is, because I can’t strike the ball very consistently yet. My son says it is accurate. Will test more today as I got tees to use driver. I am also curious about what everyone else uses. I wish that the app would not just pick my location all the time. 

I tried your settings today and after a short test, they appear to work for me!!  4500 ft; 70F; 25%.  I'll test more later.... maybe those are my magic numbers.  Thanks!!

General rules:

Higher temp will increase distance.

Higher altitude will increase distance.

Lower humidity will increase distance.

To me this is still not the best solution if root cause cant be fixed.

The reasons are that the issue is varying with clubs. So a setting for a 9 iron is not the same as for driver and other longer clubs. And it is a bad solution if You need to change settings everytime You change club.

The second reason is that these settings will not compensate fully for practise balls which I think many would use for practicsl reasons.

So even if it helps, I think there is a better way:

Optishot has a function where You can " calibrate" clubs. This setting is set in %, and is individual for each club.

So if I find my driver to go 15% shorter playing indoor than compared to range/on course, I could increase for instance ball speed with 15%. Problem solved.

And if my pw is 3% short, I could increase that as well.

Of course these settings should be stored and activated manually.

And making the possibility to set this percentage quite high would also allow us to play hth indoor with practice balls.

I don't mind the altitude settings etc, but not sure what the purpose is. If You wan't to find out how far the ball goes at 4500 feet, ok. Probably nice to know in some cases.

But if the meaning is to compensate for inaccurate readings indoor, I find it only somewhat useful but would really prefer the Optishot way.

Bryan, I noticed on other posts that you were trialing Awesome Golf. I haven't trialed it yet. Does Awesome Golf have weather settings & are they needed to correct distances for indoor use ?
