Dark colored driver - short yardage

Hi All

All my yardages are just a bit short with the driver being the worst.  I updated to 4.2 and made sure the distances to my net is 10’ as well as aligning the unit, etc.  My driver is a TM stealth flat black in color, would this effect it? It’s radar based so I wouldn’t think so.  I ask because my son-in-law who drives about the same distances as me was hitting a white TM and his yardage seemed accurate. I just got this unit and while I love it, I hate these yardage discrepancies.

Most important factor for yardage is ball speed. And spin.

All of those that complains about short yardage indoor or in back yard hitting into a net, have one thing in common:

None states what the ball speed reading is compared to range or course play.

If You hit the driver 10 mph lower swing speed when hitting into a net, Your ball will go 25-30 yards shorter.

And don't underestimate the fear of missing the net, and what it does to Your swing speed.

Until I see some actual comparisment showing that the ball travels less distance with same club head / ball speed, I don't believe it to be any problem with the unit as such.

In any case the R10 is measuring the data.

Processing of the data happens in the app (Garmin golf), so if there are any issues with distances the most likely cause is in the algos there.
