GSPro or Awesome Golf?

We use the R10 outdoors. I tried the trial of Awesome Golf and it definitely was more accurate than the garmin app. We had fun with it and it felt more like realistic distances.

GSPro is more expensive and requires we pull out the laptop outside everytime we use it. Certainly its more robust and maybe (?) is more accurate than AwesomeGolf as far as how it reads the R10 data? Awesome Golf is less robust, but cheaper overall and we can use it on the phone or laptop (since we're outside).

What would you recommend?

  • Do you just need someone to tell you,  Awesome Golf is the right answer for your situation?

Awesome Golf sounds like it would be the best choice for your setup. It's accurate, people generally love its features, and its cheaper.

    Enjoy.

  • Ya I think you are right. I just wondered if most would say you'll regret not getting GSPro, Thing is, we have access to a golf course since we live on one, so we don't need a major simulator. Thanks for the opinion.

  • Well GSPro, certainly has some pro's (no pun) with regards to courses (community contributions, and free), graphics, and features. It's built on the Unity3D game engine, and thus has a significant leap in graphics and etc.

Its more expensive, and the pricing model for a permanent license locks you into the current version you have...any updates beyond your license will not be included.

I wouldn't get GSPro unless I intended on a more serious or atleast dedicated indoor setup.
