R10 Delivery delays

Has anyone received any feedback from Garmin on causes for R10 delivery delays? I ordered one in early February with an expected backorder time of 4 to 6 weeks. It will be 8 weeks tomorrow with no updates on expected delivery time. It would help to know what the causes are for delayed delivery.

Ordered in October and still have not received it. This is unreal. I known there are shortages throughout the US but this is unacceptable.

I've been keeping an eye on various retailers and most just say not in stock while others give expected backorder times between early May and September at this point. It would be nice if Garmin would communicate some status on this, but maybe they don't because if the expected delays stretch out too far then people will consider ordering alternatives or just give up altogether.

I got contacted about 4 weeks ago. Garmin said end May '22 for orders in Australia. ...I'm not holding my breath though.

I assume it's microchip or semiconductor shortages which are world-wide.

Thanks for the response. This is the first feedback that I've heard that came from Garmin. Given that they aren't saying much on expected delivery dates, seems likely that they really don't know. Hope the projection is correct!

Good news today. 2nd swing gold has the r10 in stock, although they are selling it for $799 instead of $599. Intheholegolf, where I placed my order, said that have a couple of shipments headed their way and estimated arrival by the end of next week. I still may need to wait a few weeks as they have orders to fulfill from as early as last November, so waiting in line. At least things are moving!
