E6 connect 'Play on PC' keeps disconnecting on iPhone (playing GSPro)

Hoping someone at Garmin or other forum users can help please... I've got everything (R10, iPhone, laptop, GSPro, GSPro-R10-Connect, Projector) setup and working well, except the connection keeps dropping on my phone in the Garmin Golf App (using Play on PC mode in E6 Connect).

This setup is working great otherwise as a simulator, but the disconnection is so frustrating that I'm considering returning the R10 and investing in the Skytrak at 4 times the price. Half my shots do not appear so I turn around and see the connection is dropped again - I cannot really play one hole without having to select "reconnect" on phone.

I have ensurred the R10 is updated, restarted my iPhone, got the R10 spacing sorted, placed iPhone right by R10, ensured no fan behind (I even moved my laptop in case that was the issue) and all other tips I've come across on forums, but I'm still having the same trouble.

Please can anyone advise? I would be massively grateful!!!

i bought an ipad because of this issue. no problems on the ipad, only downside is the graphics are not as good.

I do still have the issue, but less so since a few changes namely ensuring soft (carpet/Astro) floor throughout and better wifi in the room (it’s in my garage so I’ve had to add a mesh unit). I was advised Garmin are working on updates, but I’ve not heard anything further or seen any improvements.

The best improvement would allow the R10 to be hardwired, ideally to a PC, as there is no benefit in (flaky) wireless for many simulator setups (I accept range/outside this is useful).

the R10 doesn't use wifi, it bluetooths to your phone, and then your phone communicates over the the network with the PC. what they need to develop is either a communication app for the PC to talk to the R10 over bluetooth, or give E6 a way to communicate directly with the R10 over bluetooth. on ipad, you have to login to the garmin golf app and then open E6, and since the two apps are communicating via PI on the same device, the experience is flawless. E6 even shows the garmins battery level.

I have this issue also. My only work around so far is to un pair the r10 from the garmin app and my phone. Repair it, then restart everything on the computer side. I can then usually play 4-5 holes and then have to repeat the same process. Very frustrating.

+1 I've been trying to debug this for the last couple weeks and I can't seem to get around the Garmin Golf app getting stuck in the yellow hourglass state. I've been monitoring the messages sent from the Garmin app and SendShot seems to fire twice consecutively which doesn't seem right. From what I can tell, it should send SetBallData, SetClubData and then SendShot. The messages coming back from gspro-connect are Success, ShotComplete, Disarm and Arm in that order after SendShot is received. Garmin-Rob can you provide any information on what the Garmin app expects back after SendShot is received or what would cause the app to get stuck in that waiting state?

I have the same issue. Just wondering if you hook your computer up to ethernet and get a USB-C to ethernet adapter for your tablet if this would help secure the connection between the computer and tablet. Also wondering if anyone has tried it yet or if it will even work.
