Launch with low loft driver showing as topped

My Garmin is outside, I have two drivers, a 6 degree and 10.5. My 6 degree goes about 15-20 yards farther on course, 275-300. Software 3.9 distances 12 feet to net 6 feet to Garmin. R10 laser aligned and level with ball (well sitting on the Garmin tripod so it’s 3” above ball”) anyway. When I hit my 6 driver ball constantly shows as topped traveling 185-220, when I use my 10.5 shoes accurate at 245-270. Now I know it has a lower trajectory but Garmin shows it as 15-25 feet apex which is way way off. I’ve tried lowering and raising the Garmin which didn’t seem to affect anything. Any other advice?

  • I thought I would try to tip the Garmin forward and calibrate it there so the apparent launch angle is greater. Don't know if this will work.

  • Yes, I also believe that the R10 has an issue with low ball flights.

Playing around with distance to the unit, and tilting it a bit forward would be my suggestions as well.

If You can, compare the numbers, especially spin and launch angle with range session.

Or even compare it with on course shots, as You then can check carry etc (which also should be very accurate on range).

If spin is incorrect, You can always use rct balls or put a metal dot on Your ball.
