Driving Range Sim won't open

I'm having an issue this week and was wondering if anyone else is having this issue.

I have a Galaxy S21 phone.

I open up the Garmin Golf app and link up the R10 and it links up fine.

If I play a round of golf on Home tee hero everything is fine, but if I open up the driving range feature it opens up quickly then closes.

If I click on it again it does the same thing.

Then, it crashes and my phone says there is a bug in the app and that's what's happening.

It's really odd because I use the range session all the time with no issues.

I'm not sure if it's an issue with an update to the phone or the app.

I was going to delete and reinstall the app to see if that helps but was wondering if anyone is having the same issue.

Yesterday, I finally deleted the app from my phone and reinstalled it and that did the trick. Hopefully, that will help you too.

Sorry to jump on an old thread but the same thing is happening with my R10 and Samsung Galaxy Note Ultra 5g. Never been able to see one shot on the driving range. Opens then immediately closes. Uninstalling and reinstalling did not not fix it. Garmin are you listening?

On the phone go to settings, apps, garmin golf, storage and empty data (not buffer).

No need to reinstsll the program.

Unfortunately that did not fix it. Absolutely useless $500 paperweight at the moment.

Another reason for me experiencing app shutdown is when the device the R10 is connected to has no internet connection.

Usually making sure there is internet connection and empty data has resolved all app shutdowns.

What version of the Garmin Golf app are You using?

I am using version 2.7 and I have a great internet connection.

Ok, then the only last thing to try from my end is to turn off bluetooth on all other devices the R10 has been connected to, if any.

If none, then reinstalling the app usually works. I have not seen this issue after upgrading to 2.7 of garmin golf, except once on range when my tablet did not have internet connection. Used my phone as hotspot, and problem disappeared.

Same thing happened to me using a Galaxy S7. Tried deleting the app, clearing the cache, restarting the phone. Nothing worked until I saw that the R10 was still showing paired under my bluetooth settings. Once I unpaired it in the bluetooth settings, reinstalled the app and reconnected through the app, it finally worked.
