R10 set-up concerns..

Evening All from the UK! In short, I've very recently set up a full size 3x3x3 range cage/net in my back garden! Alas, it's also surrounded by wooden sleepers, so my range mat is right up against a sleeper at the front, resulting in a lip of about 2 or 3 inches above said mat!

Whilst I'm salivating at the thought of having the R10, will the fact that there is a sizeable lip at the front render it uselss? I've got plenty of room behind the mat to place the R10 on a raised flat surface, but can you then angle the monitor part down towards the ball itself?

I probably haven't explained my situation very well here, so trying to upload a photograph of my set-up..

Hopefully somebody will know of a resolution here, or maybe even be in a similar position so-to-speak!?

Yes, you’d need to raise the platform and have the R10 on a stand so they are roughly the same level with an unobstructed view. OR you could cut out the lip to create an unobstructed view but you will have to raise the R10. And yes it’s mega fun!

Hi there, many thanks for responding so quickly! So there is no way to keep the lip as it is, and have the R10 raised up but angled down facing the ball and target line?

Without being the definitive expert it’s all based on alignment. So if you have it on a weird angle then everything will be off. I’ve found it’s still accurate when it’s slightly tilted but not more than 1-2 degrees. Sounds like you’re describing 10-15. Personally I’d just throw down more soil/mulch to raise the hitting mat and align to that
