Which iPad to use?

My wife’s old iPad apparently is too old to update to iOS 13 or higher which the Garmin app requires. Looking for the least expensive iPad that would be able to run Garmin Golf app so I can use r10.

If your looking to just run it on the Ipad and not hook it up to a projector an ipad air 2 should work. Mine runs it, at times its stutters a tiny bit but is perfectly playable. If you wanted to be safe maybe go a gen or two higher then that.

If you are thinking about hooking it up to a projector I can tell you the Ipad air 2 does not work, I have been trying to determine the cheapest ipad that can do that but have not gotten a concrete answer as of yet.

I have an Ipad air 2 and can hook up to projector using the apple hdmi dongle. I have not played HTH on projector but did play E6 on projector and did not have freezes or choppiness. I only played 2 holes as I was testing projector placement. Will do more testing this weekend
