either balls work, range balls tend to be 10-15% shorter than gamers. what I have found is that the older and more worn down balls you use, the more variance you get in flight distance, spin, and shape.
there has been a mention by someone that some radar units from other brands have issues with certain materials in the core of some brands of balls... not sure how true this is.
