Minimum distance to net?

Hi.

I'm in the unfortunate situation that in my golf room, I simply do not have more than 6 - 6.5 feet from the ball, to the screen I'm hitting in to.

I was therefor wondering if a kind R10 user would perhaps try out their unit indoors, with the ball placed no more than 6.5 feet from a hitting net, and report back to me if it works or not?
I know that Garmin recommends at least 8 feet, but I would just be very interested in hearing if the unit would in any way be accurate, even though the flight distance would be a bit shorter than the recommended 8 feet.

Most of us cannot get the device to be accurate distance-wise even with 10 feet between ball and net...let alone 6.5ft.

I'd say chances are slim that it would work with the current software.

Take the distance away from the unit to the ball. 5.75 feet seems fine. Get the ball as far from impact location as possible.

Okay, I can sort of read that... Hopefully Garmin will release a software update that fixes this issue soon.
But I was just wondering if the unit would even read the ball? I suppose if it can read it at 6.5 ft and be as unacurrate as with all other shots, it would hopefully work in the future as well, when the issues with the unit are fixed.

11.3ft ball to screen and R10 can't get 5 iron to driver even close to correct..... high swing speeds need stronger hardware R10 too weak.

3.7 has fixed it. Driver still a bit off though with launch angle. But shape of flight seemed good. Swing was a bit off today with driver so will test again. But R10 hundreds better than it use to be. I've gone from a pissed off customer to pretty happy.

That sounds very encouraging. Would it perhaps be possible for you at some point to test the unit out with only 6.5 feet of ball flight?
That would be a huge help!

Oh damn no I was 11.3ft ball to screen. 6.5ft I wouldn't be on my mat anymore and my mat is fixed and level with putting turf so won't beable to move it closer.

Ah, okay, I see...
Maybe someone else is able to test it some day :) But I'm not really assuming it would work... The unit seems to be struggling enough even with a lot more distance between the ball and the net.

I just got mine, updated it to the latest update and still can’t get it to be very close. Can you tell me what your indoor setup is? I’m in a garage and am struggling to even be close. I’m 8 feet from my white screen and have tried 6-8 feet back.
