Is this something you created? How does it compare to what I bought or do you think I am good with the two stand items I bought
No, people on GolfWRX discussed such a thing and somebody 3d printed it and is now selling. I use an alignment stick to align mine, but as the angle of the unit affects the launch angle of the ball (and consequently distance), and left-to-right angle may affect shot shape, I think that level in the middle is a good idea. Those feet are levelers, so you can make sure you are both straight and level and also match the height to the hitting mat.
TBH, the r/simulator people seem to be using this thing pretty successfully, with a penalty on shots over 215 yards or so (this is also my experience), so I don't know how valuable this will be for somebody who knows they have a level surface. But if you don't, I think this is solid.
You are correct on the level thing. I went back to the guy who I bought in from on Etsy and asked him about the level bubble thing. He said he is working on a design to cover this. Check him out. The bay one you have a picture of is really expensive and I am on a tight budget.
If using indoors you can’t get better than a cheap laser from ebay.
I use it in my garage and if slightly off then it makes a difference to where it ends up. But the shape doesn’t change.
