Pairing to an iPad

Hi Everyone,

For some reason I can't pair my R10 to my iPad. It's a 6th generation iPad running iOS 14.8.  Is it possible that the R10 can only be paired to one device?  I did pair easily to my iPhone 11 first.  Just to be clear, I do not mean to ask if it can be paired to two devices at the same time.  I simply mean two different devices that it could connect to either at any time.

Thanks,

Danny

  • I have mine connected to an Ipad Air 2. Connection was no problem. It runs E6 fine on the Ipad but it cannot handle projecting it via an hdmi adapter. So if you plan to project the image go newer then an air 2 for sure

  • A question. I would also like to buy the R10 as soon as it is available again. Here is the code for the 5 places of the E6 software. Can I only use it once. I would now use the Iphone and would like to buy an Ipad for Christmas and then use the software on the Ipad and Iphone. Depending on where I am. On the go or at home Is that possible? Or can I only use the code on one device.

  • Have you had any luck pairing your 6th generation iPad to the R10? Mine is on IOS 16.2 & I cannot make the pairing. I called customer support & they said the Garmin Golf App can only be paired to an Android phone or an iPhone. I bought the iPad just to use with the R10 & E6 (my phone is an Android).

  • I'm good.  I forgot when I turned the R10 on, I had to wait for the solid blue light before starting the bluetooth connection.

  • Good to here I am looking to get ipad to use for the r10 with e6. Did you have any issues with the 5 course license?

Can you play Pinseeker with this license?

  • Hi, I'm just now learning the Apple side of things :) & haven't had time to use E6 other than 1 practice swing on the range.  I had no problem setting up E6 after I installed & set up the Garmin Golf App & E6 Connect on the iPad (once I figured out why I couldn't get the bluetooth connection working).  I just copied the coupon code from the Garmin app to E6 (displayed when selecting play E6 on IOS).   I saw the Pinseeker option on E6 and they provide a QR code & a coupon code, but I haven't tried to set that up & see how/if it will work. Someone else may be able to answer that.

  • Thanks for the reply. Good news. I have never had an Apple device. Looks like I will get an iPad and try it now.
