Shots not appearing on app

Hi Team

Apologies if this has been addressed. Going a bit mad.

have setup the R10 / app….can see them connected in the app. When I hit a shot the app doesn’t pick it up. I’ve removed the R10 re adding a couple of times with no luck.

Am I missing something? Go into Golf Sim, click driving range, start training, then hit the shot….with no data luck.

  • Make sure the LED is green before hitting.  The unit is very sensitive to pre-swing routines and people in the next bay at the range.

  • Welcome to the club.  I tried everything Garmin suggested. I noticed today at the range the red light came on when the person next to me moved or practiced their swing. But even when there was no one within 75 feet, the unit still failed to capture a perfect hit. 

  • I had same issue. After some digging and testing I suspect r10 doesn't "see" range balls with carbon cores. Trackman had this issue until they rewrote the software to recognize the proper frequencies for the carbon core ball. I then tested my theory and went back to the range that have the carbon core balls. It didn't pick up a single one of those shots but then picked up "normal" balls out of my bag and even some range balls I brought with me from a different range that were not limited flight carbon core. For reference the balls that were not being seen were Wilson limited flight range balls

  • Just spoke with support. The problem is with a recent update to the app. He mentioned they will be looking to provide a software update in the next couple of days. I think the update will be for the R10 as he mentioned it would need to be done through Garmin Express. 

  • I just tried to use mine today and it wasn’t detecting a single shot despite the green light being on. Have just updated to firmware 3.80 and will have another go tomorrow. I think this isn’t the new version mentioned above as appears to be from 2nd December.

  • Same thing here, taking it back tomorrow what a piece of ***. Did the updates, mevo+ actually works, worst device ever

  • Finally received my R10 a few days from an order date of August 18 from playbetter.com.

    I opened it up unpacked everything, downloaded the garmin express app on my MacBook Pro and updated the software, 3.8.
    I set it up following all the suggestions and voila, nothing. Won’t display any shot data on any of apps, teebox hero- nothing, driving range nothing, E6 nothing. The unit is on and connected, green light flashing ready to read, swing the club, hit a ball and the leds appear to have sensed it, but nothing. So frustrating.
  • Mines going back, mevo is already on its way. Good luck garmin, make a device that works next time.
